As most of you guys know, I cannot get enough of my mini skirts ! That is not always a feasible outfit especially during the winter ( UMMMMM can we talk about this polar vortex??). I have found that my perfect winter outfit essentials stay warm consists of a pair of dark wash jeans, a crew neck sweatshirt and a bold wool coat. Collar Dress Love

Wearing: Evans Dress (old), American Apparel thigh highs, Asos kitten heels

To quote our Lucky mag digital fashion writer Natalie, collared dresses are sneaky. A collar can instantly transform your look to have a more polished vibe with little effort. Collars have been popping up on dresses by loads of different labels, both plus size and not. I have been a huge fan of a high-collaredanything for quite some time now, since it easily adds a new focal point to any outfit. These dresses are perfect paired with ballet flats for dinner with your grandparents, or with a cropped blazer and platform sandals for a night out with the girls. For a personal twist, I paired my collared mini dress with a pair of knee-highs and kitten heels. Tip: try accessorizing your collared dress with a large jeweled bib necklace for a look with a little more pizzazz.

Margie Plus: Colored Legging, Luckymag.com

Wearing: Vintage blouse, Vintage Sweater, American Apparel leggings, Forever 21 purse (similar), Asos shoes (similar)

Colored leggings have been popping up at my favorite plus size stores since last year, changing things up for the colder seasons with primary brights and jewel tones. So Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2012.
I have a special place in my heart for a great pair of leggings. During the winter, my motto is "the thicker the legging, the better." Here, I'm wearing a pair of red American Apparel “Winter Leggings”. Usually American Apparel runs fairly small, but at a size 18, their XL does the trick. They are not only super-comfortable, but versatile as well. I wear them with everything from oversized sweaters to sequin dresses for nights out. Tip: for fashion risk takers, these colored leggings are perfect for a bold color-blocking look.

Wearing: Express sweater (similar), Gap skirt (similar), shoes (similar), Vintage necklace (similar), Thrifted hat, Steve Madden bag

Ok so I know its crazy and load but I had to buy this hunter orange hat at the volunteers of america thrift store. (Yes every post is usually inspired by something I have bought at a thrift store lol). So I thought I would try it out with a bold necklace and a grey scale outfit to really accentuate the strong color of the hat and necklace!

Studded Kitten Heels

Wearing: Vintage floral blazer (floral plus blazer), American Apparel shirt, Macys jegging, DIY necklace, Forever 21 bracelet (similar), vintage shoes (similar), Betsey Johnson purse

I got these AMAZING vintage, studded, kitten heels at goodwill. They were spanking brand new and fit perfectly! I feel like they work great with my fav jeggings rolled up and color plays well with my thats so 80's cotton blazer.

Black Blazer and Floral Dress

Wearing: Vintage blazer (similar), Macys dress (similar), Topshop shoes, American apparel socks, Sunglasses, Forever 21 necklace

Sometimes I really just hate wearing tights. When I don't want to feel constricted by tights I winterize my look with a thick pair of knit thigh highs. I got this dress at Macys on sale a few years ago but love how fun and frilly it is! Tip: double bling, triple bling, basically MORE BLING

Some of my favorite black blazers right now !

Thrifty Nifty

Wearing: Vintage Sweater, Vintage Dress (similar), Topshop shoes, Sunglasses

This whole outfit was thrifted a few weeks ago (minus the accessories). It was actually fairly warm out today so no tights needed. The dress underneath the sweater is sleeveless and made of 100% stretch. Though I knew when I purchased it I would NEVER wear it by itself ( I look somewhat like a sausage)  its an awesome layering piece for fall.

Margie Plus: Faux Leather Jacket, Luckymag.com

Margie Plus: Faux Leather Jacket

Whether you're plus size or not, every fall wardrobe needs a leather (or faux leather) jacket. My favorite faux leather style? It's a toss up between the classic moto and the cascade-front.
I love the functionality: it can be worn with simple skinny jeans, or over a glitzy dress. In this picture, I'm wearing an awesome Alfani faux leather jacket that's not only super-comfortable, but also a unique twist on the classic moto style.

Cobalt

Wearing: Asos Curve dress (similar), Vintage top, H&M chain, SockDream Socks, Old Navy shoes

I have been so thankful for the beautiful weather lately especially with the hardship Frankenstorm Sandy has caused all of my friends. I find that anytime I throw anything sequin on, I instantly become in a great mood. I know some plus size girls may be terrified of being so bold but I say go for it ! they are my own little pick me up. I got this awesome plus size cobalt top from a local thrift store about a year ago. I like to pair tops like these with un expected bottoms and today I chose one of my favorite floral dresses from ASOS I got on clearance.

Margie Plus:Utility Jackets, Luckymag.com

As for my outfit I have been on a kick lately of pairing a mashup of wildly different print outfits. I am super into the particular mashup especially paired with my absolute favorite Cambridge Satchel bag my best friend Ashlan got me for my birthday ( Its engraved with "Margie" ) . Since a lot of my clothes are an large integration of vintage clothing Its hard to post links to purchase the outfits. With each post I will try to find similar clothing options for purchase.
