Jumpsuits and Rompers....

Wearing: Simply Be romper, Evans faux fur coat, Steve Madden shoes, ASOS beanie, Modcloth necklace (similar)

I loved this Simply Be romper as soon as I saw it... like most bold statement clothing pieces. As most of you know, here in NYC the weather has been INSANE ! Thankfully rompers are easily winterized with a simple addition of thick tights, booties, a beanie, and a faux fur coat.

Faux Leopard Coat and Green Beanie

Wearing: Torrid coat (similar) & top (similar) , ASOS jeans, Vintage beanie (similar), Random Maui heels ( similar

I was eyeing this Torrid leopard coat for quite sometime before I ever made the purchase ( its on sale now !). This faux fur coat is super easy to throw on over pretty much anything to stay warm and look chic. In this outfit I decided to pair with a pair of ASOS high waisted skinny jeans and a grey V-neck top with faux leather sleeves. Unlike most strappy hells these ones are ridiculously comfortable 1 I picked them up at a random store in Maui when I was there last month. I also love to offset bold prints with bold color beanies during the winter..if you haven't noticed ; ).

Plaid Jacket and Leather Envelope Skirt

Wearing: Asos jacket, Forever 21 skirt, Vintage top, Kixie thigh highs, Steve Madden boots (similar), Fashion To Figure necklace (similar)

For today's outfit post I decided to go for a edgy lumberjack look. The weather on the west coast has been decent so wearing a skirt with a medium weight coat is totally doable. This ASOS jacket is perfect for layering and I absolutely love the bold nature of it. Again I am SOOOO happy that Forever 21 made a plus size version of the famed Zara envelope skirt! I love the skirt even more when I pair with the awesome Kixie tights that in a size D totally fit perfect. I added a little gold bling because...well lets be real, thats just me.

Winter Faux Fur Coat

Wearing: Simply Be coat, ASOS plaid-hat-shoes, Torrid belt

I absolutely love the look of a luxe fur coat! Faux fur is not only a humane but less expensive way to get the luxurious look. I found the above jacket at UK plus size retailer Simply Be ( similar style available) and LOVE the texture and warmth it provides on these frost winter days. Fur is a constant street style favorite and I have been on the hunt for the perfect plus size options for a while now. A common misconception is that plus size women shouldn’t wear fur coats as they add too much bulk. The trick is to find an option that has a hem which hits mid-thigh or above, has a snug fit, and does not have overly thick fur. Bonus: these coats look great for any occasion, whether it be dressed down with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a plaid or thrown over a glitzy holiday dress.

Tweed Jacket & Neon Top

Wearing: Vintage tweed jacket (similar multi color options)   No brand neon top, Rovi Moss bag, Joe Fresh skirt, Modcloth shoes

I totally forgot I had a few shots taken in my outfit for the second day of Lucky FABB last month. I am wearing a vintage tweed jacket and random mens neon hunting top while thrifting. I love adding a pop of neon in the fall to stand out in the drab weather ( even though finding neon to BUY in the fall is nearly impossible!). I paired with a matt sequin Joe Fresh skirt that is cotton lined and super comfortable. When walking the streets of NYC black ankle booties are definitely my go to and these ones from Modcloth are perfect.
