Denim Top and Polka Dot Jumper

Wearing: Evans top (similar )Modcloth dress & necklace, Forever 21 shoes (similar) , ASOS hat (red) (similar)

The weather has been surprisingly warm lately here in NYC! I of course have been taking full advantage of it by rocking my skirts and dresses even more (shocking I know ..not lol). The thing I do love about winter though is layering. Here I have taken a thick denim shirt form Evans and buttoned to the top paired with a statement necklace and vintage inspired jumper dress from Modcloth.

Simply Be Holiday Styling Contest

Wearing: Simply Be coat, dress, shoes, necklace

Hey guys !

I am excited to say that I just took part in a holiday styling competition with Simply Be. They asked different bloggers to choose SB items that they would wear to a holiday party from their site. Below are what I choose! ( this mermaid sequin dress is everything!!)

For the contest Simply Be will be tallying how many likes the photo of my outfit gets on their instagram (@simplybeusa) and on their Facebook page ( check it out HERE). The blogger with the most likes has the opportunity to gift 3 of their followers with amazing swag ..possibly even this exact same outfit!!

Be sure to check out their facebook and instagram and if you love my outfit "like" the photos so we have a chance to win.

Tweed Jacket & Neon Top

Wearing: Vintage tweed jacket (similar multi color options)   No brand neon top, Rovi Moss bag, Joe Fresh skirt, Modcloth shoes

I totally forgot I had a few shots taken in my outfit for the second day of Lucky FABB last month. I am wearing a vintage tweed jacket and random mens neon hunting top while thrifting. I love adding a pop of neon in the fall to stand out in the drab weather ( even though finding neon to BUY in the fall is nearly impossible!). I paired with a matt sequin Joe Fresh skirt that is cotton lined and super comfortable. When walking the streets of NYC black ankle booties are definitely my go to and these ones from Modcloth are perfect.

Yosi Samra & Adeam NYFW

WEARING: JC Penney blouse, Dorothy Perkins skirt, Asos shoes

Back at NYFW I had an awesome day wearing my new staple leather pieces a Dorothy Perkins envelope skirt and ASOS strappy booties. Of the shows I attended that day I really really enjoyed the Adeam presentation that was held at the tents. The delicate materials crafted in such an interesting way was a breath of fresh air.
At the end of the day I stopped by one of my fav shoe designers Yosi Samra's HQ in Tribecca. Hanging with Yosi staffer Morgan I got to preview some of the upcoming shoe styles as well as revisit some of my favorite staples.

Forgotten Hollywood Photos

Wearing: Vintage floral dress, Simply Be moto, Forever 21 necklace, Nine West booties (similar), Urban Outfitters purse

While going through the photos from lasts month LA trip I came across these gems. After the first night of Lucky FABB Kelsi from Dedicated Follower of Fashion and our  girl Gina went out to hang for a bit in Hollywood. On our way back to the hotel I had Kelsi snap some fun shots of me in my outfit. I am pretty obsessed with this vintage floral dress. I got it at a local thrift store and hemmed the stunner to make it more "my style".

All Saints Wish List for March

Like many I am a total fan of the brand All Saints! The only problem with that is as a plus size girl, I cant quite fit into any of their clothes ( ok I came close to fitting into this oversized cardigan once). But this is all besides the point since they have some one size fits all awesome accessories ! Their boot selection is on point and I def want them all...Pair with destroyed denim, flirty floral, or a pair of leather short !

Forgot I Made This Tunic..

Wearing: Homemade top, Nordstrom Sweater, Asos hat, Nine West booties, Forever 21 bag

I totally forgot that I about this tunic. I made it a few years ago when I was in design school. I got the fabric at this little quilting store in the small town where my school was in their clearance bins. They had the most amazing fabric bolts from the 1980s for $2 a yard! I made a simple shift tunic out of the fabric I found and added a few studs to the rolled up sleeves. Since it is super cold out I threw over my super warm oversized sweater and I was off.

Margie Plus: Embellished Collar, Luckymag.com

Margie Plus: Embellished Collar

The subtle yet bold embellished collar is a great way to jazz up any outfit. My favorites are accented with sequins, beads and studs. The textural accessories pair perfectly with a faux leather skirt for work or a night out. I pair my studded-collar top with jeggings or black skinnies for a more casual look. These tops come in a wide assortment of colors, from basic black to jewel tones. Tip: for a more dramatic look, add a statement necklace to your already amazingly bold embellished collar.

Parka Not Included..

Wearing: Mossimo sweater (similar), Random skirt (similar), Isaac Mizrahi boot, Gap hat (similar), Forever 21 purse (similar) & Necklace (similar)

I am the kind of person that likes to live in denial when it comes to Winter and super cold weather in general. Long parkas are perfect to let me still wear my favorite Spring skirts out in public yet shield me from the cold during the commute, but is definitely not cute pictured lol. This hat I am wearing I found at GAP on sale ! I tottally love it, the color is warm and can be perfect for all seasons. The skirt is also one of my favorites. I got it last year in LA at a random plus size shop in the Northridge mall called Mode Plus ( which has LEGIT plus size clothes) and love the high low design.

Color and Stripes

Wearing: Vintage top (similar ish), Vintage Jacket (similar), Target dress (similar skirt), Topshop booties (similar), Forever 21 Bracelet

If you couldn't tell by now, I am all about mixing and matching prints and patterns. This top is definitely one of my favorites. On the days I m feeling more bold it is for sure my go to top as the fit is perfect and a statement all its own. I recently re-discovered this stripped dress I had purchased at Target on Clearance last year and decided to pair it underneath. I totally forgot how much I loved it ! the way it drapes in the front gives such a great camouflage effect and is super comfortable.
