A Bold Yellow
Yellow was everywhere during last year's Spring 2013 runway shows (I'm still obsessing over Louis Vuitton’s yellow-and-white checkerboard looks). Since winter's dragging and I'm longing for a little sunshine, the hue acts a simple mood-booster and a constant reminder that spring is around the corner. You can find this season's yellow pieces in shades ranging from a light and creamy to bold and neon, all of which look amazing as outfit accents or a look's whole focal point.
At left, I am wearing a canary-colored dress I picked up a few months ago at Old Navy. And while the color looks great paired with classic black, it works just as well against navy. Tip: for a bolder look, try pairing your favorite yellow piece with a black and white striped one for the ultimate Spring 2013 combo.
