July Instagram Rundown
This has been quite a month so far and for those of you who don't follow me yet on instagram (@margieplus) here is a rundown of some of my fave #ootd and #selfie posts. From hanging out with the beautiful @claireculmers from @fashionbombdaily to Kat Graham @katgrahampics and the stunning Clementine @bounjourclem and my super talented boo @yusefhairnyc. Excitingly enough I have started a new project and have been recording music with @supervillainmusic ! ( more on that to come soon). With all that said I will definitely be posting a lot more outfit posts in the coming weeks I promise!
Since summer is in full effect I have been on the lookout for the perfect bootie that has a low heel for adventures in the city and a cute open toe… Below is what I have found !

Mini Skirts Galore!
Wearing: Forever 21 jacket-skirt-necklace, Worthington sweater (old), Torrid shoes, Topshop socks
When it comes to miniskirts, I say the bolder the better. Just because the weather is getting colder doesn’t mean we have to get rid of our favorite minis just yet—at least not with a little simple layering. Finding flattering plus size miniskirts isn't always easy—but once you find that perfect fit, there's no better way to stand out. From casual to party-perfect, I've tracked down short skirts that will fit every occasion—and they're all in the slideshow above. Tip: to make your bold mini look fresh, try pairing it with an oversized sweater or a top in a contrasting color. This Forever 21 skirt is a must-have. I fell in love with the bold metallic print at first sight—and thanks to the tapestry-style material, it has amazing structure. I paired it with a bold sweater dressed the look down with a layered jean jacket.

Fall Plaid Favorites
Wearing: Modcloth dress, Vintage sweater, Sock Dream socks, Anthropologie shoes (old)
I LOVE THIS DRESS !! I received this goodie a few months ago and have been wearing it out. This time of year I am always drawn to a great plaid. I love the short length and very "Clueless" feel the ModCloth dress exudes. I have been pairing the dress lately under an oversized pullover sweater but decided to switch things up by pairing with a slouch vintage sweater, knit thigh highs, and flatform loafers.

Margie Plus: Tuxedo-Inspired Pieces For Every Style And Budget
Margie Ashcroft, Contributor
Tuxedo-inspired womenswear has been a major trend this year. This season's looks give such great homage to YSL’s forever sexy 1960s Le Smokingimage. Plus size brands have been offering both conventional and unconventional interpretations to the classic tuxedo look… hello, prints and texture! The wardrobe staple can simply spice up a work outfit or even work as an evening gown alternative. The ensembles look great paired with everything from aprinted collar blouse to a casual v-neck tee.
I purchased some amazing pieces from JC Penney(whose plus size department I am loving) recently and decided to try the short version of the trend while in L.A. From cropped to a longer cut, here are tuxedo-inspired looks that will fit any woman's style and budget. Tip: One stop at your local tailor and voila! Your perfect-fitting tuxedo pants can become the perfect pair of summer tuxedo shorts.
