FTF Denim In-Store Event
Thank you to everyone who came out to my event with Fashion To Figure at their Kings Plaza location in Brooklyn. The new FTF denim line is affordable and has a style for every one ! Below are some of the pictures from the festivities.. obvi there was an impromptu dance party !
Plus Size Fall Trench Coat Style

You know that article of clothing that you bought on SUPER clearance and have had forever ? That is definitly this trench for me . I bought it on Target years ago and I have been able to transition it to my fall and spring wardrobe every year. Even though my token personal style tends to be edgy, I have always loved the look of a classic trench. It adds instant sophistication to your outfit and helps you get the the transitional weather outside. I decided to go with a all black ensemble for this look but have often paired my trench with skinny jeans and booties. Forever in my mind as the "it" Breakfast at Tiffany's jacket I will forever have a trench in my closet .

Modcloth NYC Pop-Up Shop !

On Friday I had the pleasure to attend a blogger event hosted by Modcloth in NYC. We saw sneak previews, talked fit, and whats to come for their plus size line! It was awesome to meet all of the amazing women behind their plus size clothing. After the blogger event was their pop-up shop that was open to the public! women lined up around the block for a chance to shop the e-commerce brand favorite. The best part was getting to connect with my blogger friends and to meet new ones like Kellie B. pictured above in her solo pic..aint she a cutie (fatshioninsider.com), Gabi Fresh, Kelly (masquemag.com), Erin (zero-style.blogspot.com) Brittney (borninsequins.com), Sarah (styleitonline.com) , Ashley Rose (theashleyrose.com) and my new friend Jess ( isn't her polka dot dress so cute!!??)

I am on an ever endless search to acquire more chic oxfords. They are not only comfortable but I love the tom boy edgyness to a sleek pair of oxfords. Recently I have come across some great options from Madewell . The Bobbie oxford is super legit and I totally love the glitter ones as well. The mini wedge oxford gives a nice spin to the classic look.
I want to wear these oxford options with:
1. My DIY cut off shorts
2. Leather leggings
3. Anything lace !

My DIY Destroyed Denim Shorts

The last few years I have been loving the look of destroyed denim shorts with tights but have never really took the leap to make a pair of my own. After finding the perfect pair of jeans in the men's department of Value Village thrift store. I took the night to watch endless "how to" videos and within an hour or so had an awesomely shredded pair of high waisted denim! Mixed with a bling necklace, slouch hat and a pop of color these shorts made my complete look for the day.
Today I also recorded my first vlog where I show my weekly plus size clothing finds and a little bit about each item. The first "Margie Plus Finds" video will be up on the site this Friday !

Gap-ing It !
Below are some of my favorite Gap.com finds. I tend to forget this preppy chic retailer goes up to a size 20 and XXL online! I am pretty obsessed with the floral look and those leopard oxfords !
